SGVAC, having another rough day shooting the ball, had run into a five game losing streak. The poor performing team lost another two consecutive games on March 21st in the 99 Timothy Invitation.
First come the Timothy. SGVAC started the game relatively smoothly, in the first couple minutes leading with 7-0. However, things started getting rough and Timothy caught up with a 14-14 tie. C Edmond wasn't being effective scoring under the basket. G Wilson, Brian and Cop combined with a 3 for 21 (14.3%) FG. While Randy and Macky of Timothy were being red hot. They are the two players who had done the major damage to the Jordanaires' defense. F Alfred had his season-best performance with 6 points and 7 rebounds but Timothy had the last laugh.
Final Score: SGVAC 30, Timothy 43 (L)
The
second game scheduled, SGVAC vs James was another poor show for the SGVAC
Jordanaires. A key factor may possibly be the fatigue problem. Especially
for G/F Wilson, who had played all 80-minutes for
the two games. He ended up scoring 11 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and having
3 steals in the game. G Arthur, coming off the bench
added 8 with 2-3 shooting behind the arc. But he was no match for the red
hot shooting James team. Every player of the James was shooting the ball
well. Once pulling the score within 5, James quickly widened the gap to
10 plus points again as the final score had shown. New Player F Kinny
had a nice defensive game with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Final Score: SGVAC 29, James 43 (L)
